I had the opportunity to meet owner and founder, Josh of FozTrek Offroad in Sydney, Australia
His Subaru Forester is no ordinary Forester. Purchased brand new in 2007, it started as an 08 XT LUXURY model with special order white exterior with beige leather interior with currently 58,000kms.
Exterior mods:
– STi Front Bar
– STi Front Lip
– STi Grill
– STi Bonnet Scoop
– STi Front & Rear pods
– STi Taillights
– STi Wheels
– STi Steering Wheel with buttons
The engine has been improved including:
– Hyperflow Top Mount Intercooler
– MRT in the guard Cold Air Intake
– STi VF35 Turbocharger
3 Port Boost Controller
The exhaust system is custom using a 3” bell mouth dump pipe with full 3″ mandrel bent stainless exhaust system with 2 options of bolt on diff back mufflers. One is a 2.5″ pipe to MRT oval muffler to keep the wife happy and the other is a 3″ pipe to Xforce canon muffler and a bolt on straight pipe for those track days.
Interior upgrades include:
– Nexus 7 android tablet install into the factory Nav pod on the dash and is connected to a Bluetooth obd2 adapter running torque pro app to see all the ecu vitals.
Brake system has been upgraded to 4 pot WRX calipers and slotted rotors with Nitto Invo 245/45/18 tyres.
Electrical Lighting includes:
– X2 100w spotlights behind the grill
The Foz just had its ECU reflashed by The Rumble Shack here in Sydney.
They did a very mild and safe tune his virtual dyno said about 190kw at the wheels and 368nm of torque but our guess on a real dyno would be closer to 200kw (268hp)
Boost is tuned to 17psi
